With a background in engineering, Mark has always followed a systematic and logical train of thought. His philosophy has always been, “Every client is unique & no two cases are ever the same.”

The Story

The Journey

Prior to joining the industry, Mark was an engineer by training and an educator at heart. He has taken on many roles within various industry, making him one who is fully aware of the ever-changing challenging landscape of the world today.

In 2003, Mark took a gander at the real estate industry, but had to exit after a year due to personal commitments. This unexpected dip in the industry taught him many things. One of which is that he had the uncanny ability to connect with clients with such ease.

Over the next 17 years, he then expanded his knowledge and network by working in SMEs, MNCs, Statutory Boards, Government organisations and even start-ups. This allowed him to grow as an individual and develop as a professional.

He worked with clients in the private sectors, understanding the demands of meeting key deadlines. He expanded programmes in the education sector, aimed at encouraging the youth to expand their knowledge and apply it to the real-world, allowing him to uncover the intricacies of meaningful relationship-building and how it helps to build trust and bridges between industries.

In 2019, Mark made the decision to immerse himself in the real estate industry, armed with the skills he acquired over two decades and the fervour to service clients to the best of his ability. When 2020 hit us all with a global pandemic, Mark continued to impress his clients with his work ethics & keen eye for details. Upgrading his skillsets by incorporating online viewing of properties for his clients, ensuring that they felt assured of the service that he was providing them, in spite of the global uncertainty of an ongoing pandemic, Mark started to see how he could work his personality and use technology to support his clients. Room tours and dedicated online meetings allowed him to grow his client base and ensure them that his dedication as real estate agent never faltered.

The History

Despite being new to the industry in 2019, when he started, Mark worked hard and made connections, and was made the Top 5% of real estate agents in the largest property agency in Singapore in 2020. He also went on to clinch the Gold/ Super Achiever Award consistently for 8 months, despite the ongoing pandemic situation. The award recognises Propnex’s real estate agents who submitted an impressive $50,000 and above commission transaction within that month.

Adding on to that, within Aaron Wan Division, he was ranked #7 in position within the first year of joining the team. An impressive achievement made by someone who had just joined a year prior to that.

Moreover, if you ask Mark, aside from the sales for clients and being recognized by the agency, his greatest achievement was in cultivating close relationships with the clients he worked with who had enjoyed their property journeys with him. These relationships would turn into friendships and in turn, see them recommend his services to their social circles.

His clients’ faith in his work ethics and professionalism, prompted him to grow his own team in 2020 to continue to share his knowledge of the real estate industry and watch others grow in success within it too.
